This generator creates grid organizers which can sit in your vase or pot to stabilize flowers for arrangements.
A flower frog is an insert that sits in the mouth of a vase and holds flower stems upright, so arrangements keep their shape instead of flopping to the sides. Traditional flower frogs are heavy glass domes, metal cages, or spiky kenzan pins. A 3D printed flower frog does the same job with a light grid that rests on the vase rim: the lip keeps it from falling in, the body sits just inside the opening, and each hole holds a few stems exactly where you place them.
This generator designs one to fit your vase. Enter the inside measurement of a round vase (or the width and depth of a rectangular planter), choose the smallest hole size you want, and the tool packs a hexagon honeycomb — or an optimized rectangular grid — into the space, with a live 3D preview and drawings where you can click any number to change it. The Download STL button exports a watertight, print-ready model in millimeters, already oriented flat-side-down so it prints without supports on any FDM printer.
Measure the inside of the opening at its narrowest point: straight across for a round vase, or side to side and front to back for a rectangular one. If the vase tapers, measure the tightest point the frog has to pass through. The generator takes off 2 mm of wiggle room so the frog drops in and lifts out easily; if your vase has rounded inside corners, enter the size of that curve as well.
Print in PETG filament — it handles water and sunlight far better than PLA, and translucent PETG nearly disappears in a glass vase. A typical frog uses 20–40 g of filament and prints in a couple of hours.
